- How can I use the consulting hours?
There are lots of ways you can use the consulting time: We can help you edit or write a press release. We can offer strategic advice, like when to send out your next trailer. We can help you refine your Steam page text. If it’s related to video game PR, we can probably do it as part of your consulting time.
- What territories does Terminals cover?
We have media and influencers from all different regions in the system, and we’re happy to work on games regardless of where they’re built. Our user base is spread across the planet, but at the moment it’s probably most effective to reach contacts in North America, South America, and Europe. That said, the site content is only in English right now, and we are considering wider language support in the future.
- How far from launch should I start this campaign?
We can turn things around quite quickly when needed, but the more time we have, the better. Game development rarely goes as smoothly as we expect it to, and it’s nice to have more time for planning and consulting, and to accommodate any surprises that may pop up. Our smaller packages are designed to start about 6 to 8 weeks before launch, while higher-end packages could be spread across several months or even a year. OR EVEN A DECADE?! No, that’s probably too long.
- Can you tell me how many people will cover my game/see my news?
We often like to tell our clients at Evolve and Terminals that there are really no guarantees when it comes to gaming PR. We can guarantee that we’ll get your game in front of thousands of verified media and influencers. But from there it’s up to your trailers to entice them, your news to excite them, and your game to captivate them. Launch Packages tend to get between 200 and 500 key requests—including many from top-tier media and influencers—though we’ve seen plenty of games attract more than 1000 requests.
- Can you tell me which media and influencers are in your system?
No, sorry. That would be a privacy nightmare, and we are—above all else—quite concerned for our users’ privacy. However, Terminals reaches most of the media outlets that cover video games, as well as a huge number of influencers. And because we verify every contact, you can be sure that the person who requested a key is actually who they claim to be.
- Are there any other fees?
Nope. If things change during your campaign, we can discuss additions or upgrades to a higher-tier package, but the price gets you everything outlined. No hidden fees.
- Can I use Terminals to promote an Early Access launch, major update, or DLC?
Of course! While these packages are designed with a standard launch in mind, we’ll work with you every step of the way to tailor things to fit your campaign’s needs.
